Cooler air follows the storms

Good Saturday to one and all. Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to dominate our weekend in weather, but changes are now showing up for early next week. It’s looking more and more like some pleasant air is on the way as we say a hearty hello to June.

Today is another very warm and muggy day with additional rounds of showers and storms cranking up. Just like the past several days, any storm that goes up could be strong with some very heavy rains.

Sunday will find our cold front moving into the region with more in the way of scattered storms. This front should push all the way through the region and unleash much better weather for the first few days of June.

You can see the cooler air coming in here late Sunday into Monday. These are the high temps from the GFS:

The nice weather should carry us into the middle of the week. Much warmer air with the threat for some storms follows that up by the end of the week into next weekend.
