September temps moving in

Good Tuesday, everyone. As many of the kiddos get set to head back to school, our weather is is on fast-forward. We have a September feel to the air moving in later Tuesday and lasting through the rest of the week.

A secondary front is pushing through here and is touching off scattered showers and storms. Highs Tuesday will range from the upper 70s to the lower 80s as winds gust up along and behind the front.

The air sweeping in Wednesday looks awesome for this time of year. The flow is coming straight from the north and northwest:

The high pressure pushing in is straight out of Canada. Check out the high temps from the high-resolution NAM for Wednesday:

NAMThat should make for a terrific first day of school for many areas throughout the region.

Thursday will feature more in the way of sun and clouds with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s.

Temps head closer to normal by the weekend, with the threat of scattered storms Friday and Saturday.

Have a great day and take care.
