Temps slowly begin to rise

Good Friday, everyone. The weekend is about to kick off, and our temps look to finally get back to normal across much of the region. With the increase in thermometer readings, the threat of a scattered storm or two also will be on the rise.

Highs Friday will be in the low 80s for much of the region with a mix of sun and clouds. The far southeastern parts of the state could even see isolated showers and storms going up. It’s a small chance, but a chance nonetheless.

Saturday and Sunday will see readings mainly in the low and middle 80s, with a mix of sun and clouds. A weak upper level system will be around and that could touch off a scattered shower or thunderstorm. The NAM future radar shows some action floating around on Saturday:

Temps into early next week look very similar with highs mainly in the low and middle 80s. A weak cold front moves our way on Tuesday with a slight increase in showers and storms:

In the overall scheme of things, temps should average a little warmer than normal later this month and into early September.

Have a fantastic Friday and take care.
