Good Monday, folks. We are kicking off the coolest week of weather around here since spring. August has given us several shots of fall-like weather, but this week is the coolest of them all.
A cold front is moving through early Monday, with cooler and drier air blowing in. Highs will be in the 70s after we start the day in the upper 50s to low 60s.
The pattern from there features a huge area of high pressure across our region:
That flow is a very cool one for Kentucky and much of the eastern half of the country. Highs over the next several days should stay in the 70s under mostly sunny skies. Overnight lows can really tank. Our first taste of lows in the 40s will be likely:
This nice weather should carry us into the start of the upcoming weekend. That’s when highs should finally return to the low 80s. Even those numbers would be a littler cooler than normal.
