Good Monday, folks. We have another great week of September weather taking shape across Central and Eastern Kentucky. The weather looks fairly tranquil this week, but the overall pattern is getting active.
The week starts with a mix of sun and clouds, and highs in the nice low and mid-70s. There is the threat of a shower or two across Eastern and southeastern Kentucky.
The rest of the week will be dominated by a big-time area of high pressure across New England, with a slow moving low pressure along the east coast:
That keeps us with pleasant temps on a northeasterly and easterly wind flow. There also is the chance that low comes a little farther west. If that happens, showers would be possible later this week into the weekend.
The GFS certainly thinks it’s a possibility and brings rains west into Kentucky:
Until then, let’s enjoy another very nice week of weather. Have a good Monday and take care.
