Frosty cold ahead

Good Tuesday, everyone. One cold front is now to our east, but additional fronts are lining up to our west. The air grows colder behind each passing front and could culminate in frost and freezing conditions this weekend.

Temps out there Tuesday look fantastic, with readings in the 60s on a gusty northwesterly wind. Skies will become partly to mostly sunny late in the day.

Another front moves in Wednesday. This front has no real moisture to work with, but some gusty winds will be noted as highs stay in the 60s. The air behind this front could be cold enough to cause patchy frost by Thursday morning:

Winds will be very gusty on Thursday as we get ready for anotherĀ cold front. That front looks to arrive after the big game at Commonwealth Stadium. Game-time temps should be in the 50s, with gusty winds a factor.

A broken line of gusty showers will sweep through Thursday night and Friday. That unleashes a cold air mass for the weekend:

Highs will be in the 50s, with overnight lows dropping below freezing. Check out these numbers:

The growing season is in serious jeopardy this weekend.

Have a great day and take care.
