Good Thursday, everyone. We continue to track a serious blast of weekend cold air that will probably end the growing season across much of the region.
This blast of air comes in behind a cold front that surges through on Friday.
Winds will be very gusty ahead of this front Thursday, with a mix of sun and clouds. There is just a slight chance of a broken band of showers along this front Friday.
The real story is the cold. Frost and freezing conditions are likely over the weekend. Check out the model forecast lows:
Next week starts with more frost Monday morning, but pleasant fall weather follows into the middle of the week. I’m still watching for a potent cold front to drop in later in the week. That might try to hook up with something from the Gulf of Mexico:
My gut tells me that will be a much deeper trough than what the models are currently advertising.
Make it a great day and take care.
