Good Friday to one and all. We have a strong cold front on the move across central and eastern Kentucky. This front is bringing gusty winds to go along with showers and thunderstorms. This system appears to be the beginning of another active weather pattern.
Showers and thunderstorms sweep in early this morning with winds gusting to 30mph. This band should weaken some as it works to the east, but could fire back up across southeastern Kentucky this evening.
I have you all set to track today’s action:
Morning showers will still be around across the east and southeast on Saturday. Skies will slowly clear later in the day from northwest to southeast with highs in the 50s.
Sunday looks good with low 30s to start and low 50s to end the day.
Another shower maker sweeps in here on Monday:
A much stronger storm will then sweep in here later Wednesday and Thursday or next week…
That one moves away with another system trying to replace it a few days later. This brings us into the middle of the month and there continues to be a signal for a big amplification of the jet stream at some point.
Make it a great Friday and take care.
