Good Monday, everyone. We’re coming off a very nice early December. The calm and nice weather of late is quickly giving way to a much more active weather pattern. Busy times are here again!
Things are a bit active Monday, with scattered showers rolling across the region. These raindrops are courtesy of an upper-level low spinning over our heads.
Highs Monday will generally run in the upper 40s. Similar numbers should be noted over the next couple of days as another upper-level low works through. That gives us scattered showers for the middle of the week.
The pattern is showing signs of turning a little wild this weekend and early next week. A big storm system is likely to take aim at the region during this time:
That type of setup would bring in very mild temps ahead of it:
We could be near record highs at some point this weekend. Wow.
That same system could also bring strong thunderstorms and gusty winds our way. Heavy rainfall is a real possibility. Check out the model forecasts:
Once the storm passes by, temps would crash, with the possibility of some snowflakes flying. That same run of the European Model has a swath of snow to the left of the track of the low:
Make it a great Monday and take care.
