Another big blast of cold headed our way

Good Thursday, everyone. We have a great day of weather across our region, and you really need to get outside and soak it up. Another blast of arctic air is on the way later this weekend and early next week. This blast of cold might also be accompanied by some gusty snow.

Highs Thursday will reach the upper 40s to low 50s on a gusty southwesterly wind. Skies will be mainly sunny until the evening. That’s when clouds increase ahead of our next weather-maker.

Rain will quickly increase Friday and could be locally heavy at times. Colder air seeps in from west to east during the evening, with some light snow mixing in with the rain. Light snow showers and flurries will then carry us into Saturday as highs stay in the low 30s.

A true arctic front moves our way Sunday with a band of snow possible:

CanadianThat setup looks a lot like what we went through Monday, but with colder air in place. Light accumulating snow and high winds might create some slick travel conditions ahead of the arctic air.

Lows for Monday and Tuesday behind that front on the Canadian Model:

Canadian 2The Canadian temperatures have been spot-on of late, and it’s absolutely killing the other models on the cold.

Make it a great Thursday and take care.
