Good Wednesday to one and all. Old Man Winter is spitting out a few snowflakes around here for the 10th day in a row. That’s about to change as a surge of milder air blows into the region. Enjoy it; winter comes back quickly next week.
Highs Wednesday will generally hit the upper 30s to low 40s with mostly cloudy skies and some passing flurries.
Really mild air starts to move in Thursday as highs make a run at 50 degrees. We could hit 60 on Friday as winds absolutely crank. Gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be possible as a system passes by just to our north. Wow!
Highs head toward 60 this weekend. The really warm weather stays in the Plains states, but our numbers will be way above normal:
The jet stream is forecast to take a deep dip across the eastern part of the country and could spawn another storm system. The European model late Monday through Wednesday:
