Good Sunday to one and all. We have a superb weather day taking shape across central and eastern Kentucky, with a little spring in the air. As we get ready to flip the calendar to March, our active weather pattern returns.
Highs today will be deep into the 60s across the entire region. A 70 is possible on a strong southwesterly wind. Gusts of 40-45mph will be possible this afternoon and evening. That’s ahead of a cold front dropping in from the northwest.
This front will bring a band of showers across the region:
Temps behind this front won’t drop very much. Highs will be back in the 50s for the bonus day of the year.
A stronger storm system moves in later Tuesday into early Wednesday. This one could bring thunderstorms ahead of it, and a few flakes behind it:
The models are spitting our some locally heavy rainfall during this time:
Colder air takes control for the second half of next week. That could also produce a few more flakes before the week is up.
I leave you with your Sunday tracking toys:
Enjoy the day and take care.
