Good Monday to one and all. We have a big-time blast of spring in the air for the week ahead. Temps will be well above normal and more typical of late April or early May. This mild air will eventually come with a stormy price, but that shouldn’t be until late in the week.
Skies will be partly sunny Monday, with highs hitting the 60s across the entire region. From here, the numbers really surge and should get into the low 70s over the next few days:
If there’s enough sunshine where you live, highs in the middle 70s are a strong possibility. Winds will be strong and from the southwest. Humidity will also increase through the middle of the week, but it looks as if much of the showers and storms hang to our west through then.
The NAM rainfall forecast through Wednesday night keeps us dry:
This is a heck of a flow coming off the Gulf of Mexico setting up for the middle of the week:
That moisture eventually shifts eastward and brings an increased threat of thunderstorms around here by late week into the weekend.
Enjoy your Monday and take care.
