Good Saturday and welcome to Easter Weekend. Much milder air is surging into the region today and this carries us into our Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will then try to crash the party as the pattern becomes busy.
Highs today reach the middle to upper 60s in most areas under a sunny sky.
Sunrise services on Easter Sunday will feature a partly cloudy sky and temps in the upper 40s. Afternoon temps really take off and could reach the 70s:
Late day showers and thunderstorms will then increase from west to east:
Some of those storms into Sunday evening could be on the strong side. High winds will be the main threat, and that’s something for us to keep a close eye on.
Much colder air moves in for Monday with highs in the 50s.
Temps through the middle of next week look very warm. We could see a few days wind up into the mid and upper 70s for highs. That’s when we flip the calendar to April and a MUCH colder look. We’re likely to get a storm system to work in to bring about that setup…
The temps into the first week of April have a chance to be memorable. Check out the GFS temperature departures from WeatherBELL…
That could get very, very ugly for all the early buds and blooms!
Make it a great day and take care.
