Good Sunday and Happy Easter. We have a windy and very warm day taking shape across central and eastern Kentucky. Throw a cold front into the mix, and you can get a setup to produce some showers and strong storms later today.
Much of our Easter Sunday should be dry for all those outdoor activities. The thunderstorm action appears to come our way late this afternoon into the evening. That’s when we run the risk for some high winds and hail. I will have all your tracking tools in a bit.
Colder air moves in for Monday with highs mainly in the 50s. We rebound quickly toward the 60s on Tuesday as we get set for a stronger system to impact our region later in the week. This could throw some strong storms our way from late Wednesday into Thursday:
This will open the floodgates to much colder air diving in from Canada by next weekend. Check out the temperature departures showing up across the country:
That setup could give us multiple days with a hard freeze into the first week of April.
