Some ugly showing up for Kentucky Derby Week

Good Sunday to one and all. The month of May is starting out on a rather damp and stormy note out there today. This looks to be a sign of things to come as we head into Kentucky Derby Week. Some nasty is showing up as our temps get ready to take a big drop.

Scattered showers and storms will rumble across the region through this evening. Any of these storms can be strong or locally severe. Heavy rainfall continues to be a possibility for some areas, so watch the creeks and streams.

Another rain and storm maker looks to take aim at the region late Monday into early Tuesday. The NAM is showing widespread showers and storms:


Much cooler air sweeps in on Tuesday with temps struggling to get to 60 in a few areas.
