Good Sunday, everyone. Our long Memorial Day weekend continues to feature some steam and scattered storms in our part of the world. This overall setup has several more days of similar weather before big changes move in.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before… Highs today will be in the muggy 80s with the potential for scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Memorial Day features more of the same, and that same forecast carries us through the middle of next week. Of course, that’s the start of June, and is the official start of meteorological summer. Wouldn’t you know it, this is when the pattern starts to turn cooler.
Here comes a strong cold front late Thursday into Friday:
The air coming in behind that is waaaaayyy below normal for much of the country…
There is also the potential for a cutoff low to form across the region into the first full week of the new month:
If that’s the case, this could be another run of ugly weather days similar to what we’ve had for most of May.
Enjoy your Sunday and take care.
