Good Monday, everyone. Let me begin by remembering all those who gave their lives protecting this great country. That is what our Memorial Day is all about! It’s also known as the unofficial kickoff to summer, and mother nature is doing her part to make it feel that way.
While the week starts off toasty, it will end with cooler changes blowing into town.
Highs today will be deep into the muggy 80s with the threat for a scattered shower or thunderstorm going up. No, this is not a recording.
Temps over the next few days will come up a few degrees, and Wednesday could bring the first 90 degree temps to our part of the world. Storm chances come down a bit, but increase late Thursday into Friday.
This is when a strong cold front moves in with cooler air coming in behind it for next weekend. A lingering shower or thunderstorm will also be possible.
The models are going for a MUCH cooler than normal setup next week for much of the country. Check out the deep dip in the jet stream from the European Model:
That looks like something out of wintertime!
Make it a magnificent Memorial Day and take care.
