Toasty temps for a few more days

Good Tuesday, folks. Our stretch of warm and humid weather has a few more days left before cooler changes blow in for the end of the week. This change will take us from above normal to below normal for the first full week of June.

Highs Tuesday will again be in the middle 80s in most areas. Skies stay sunny, with just a small threat of an isolated shower or thunderstorm.

Wednesday could see highs climb into the upper 80s before some late-day storms push in. Those storms increase Thursday and Friday ahead of a strong cold front. This front will knock our temps way down for the weekend and into next week.

The models are all pretty gung-ho on this thing. Check out the GFS ensembles :

Looking much farther down the road, the latest CFS seasonal run for summer temps:

I can’t really argue too much with that, as I expect temps to be near normal. This should include a couple hot spells around here. That might especially be the case late in summer as things turn drier.

Enjoy the day and take care.
