Good Saturday, everybody. The first weekend of June is here with a familiar theme from the spring… Rounds of showers and thunderstorms across Kentucky. As our storm chances ramp up, temps slowly fall in the coming days.
Today’s showers and storms will contain some very heavy rain. Given how much rain has fallen in recent days, we will have to be on guard for some local flash flooding.
Additional rounds of showers and storms continue into Sunday, with heavy rains possible.
Another cold front dives in from the northwest late Monday into Tuesday. That will unleash a better brand of air through the middle of next week…
There could also be a tropical system lurking in the eastern Gulf of Mexico during this time. That’s a pattern one normally sees in September and could even bring some upper 40s our way by Wednesday morning.
That will be followed up by much warmer air by next weekend, and it could bring 90 degree temps to much of the region for a few days.
Make it a sensational Saturday and take care.
