Good Sunday to one and all. We continue to see rounds of showers and thunderstorms blowing across the bluegrass state today. This action can cause some additional issues, but cooler weather is on the way for the week ahead.
Highs today will range from the upper 70s to around 80 in many areas. Thunderstorms that are out there can put down very heavy rains for many areas. Keep a close eye on the water levels in the east, especially.
Better weather moves in for Monday with temps around 80. A strong cold front then moves in on Tuesday with a broken band of showers and storms. Much cooler air follows:
Highs by Wednesday may look like this:
Overnight lows into Thursday morning may drop into the 40s.
From there, heat tries to build in next weekend. I wouldn’t be surprised to see highs making a run into the 90s:
Big clusters of thunderstorms will then try to crash into the region for the following week. That looks like a hot and stormy summer setup around here.
Make it a great day and take care.
