Steamy air leads to storms

Good Friday, everyone. Summer has been missing in action over the past several days, but it’s ready to show up in a big way. We will hit 90 for the first time this season as we head into the weekend. After that happens, we start to turn our attention to storms for the next week.

Highs Friday will be in the mid- to upper 80s in most of our region. There is also a slight chance for a shower or storm, with the most likely chance in the north and east.

A weak front then drops in Sunday with a scattered shower or thunderstorm possible.  Highs should range from 85 to 90 in most areas.

Humidity for next week will be off the charts as we find an upper-level low dropping in from the northwest. That will lead us into a stormy setup:

With so much moisture available over the next week to 10 days, very heavy rain will be possible. The European model is going wild with the numbers:

Euro 2

Enjoy your Friday and take care.
