Good Monday, and welcome to a brand new week of weather. While the week is new, the weather looks a lot like what we’ve been seeing of late. Steamy air and occasional storms take center stage in the coming days.
Highs Monday will be cooler than what we had this weekend. Most areas will be deep into the 80s, but the 90-degree stuff is being pushed back to our west. With a weak front hanging around, isolated showers and thunderstorms are still a possibility.
Tuesday will see the steamy air fighting back in from the west and southwest. This should help ignite a few more rounds of storms. Here’s the simulated radar from the NAM:
The threat of showers and storms will increase a bit as we head into the middle and end of the week. With so much moisture available, the threat of heavy rain will be with us.
How much rain we get is all dependent on what happens with a huge upper-level system slowing down across the eastern part of the country. The European model keeps this just to our east, with much cooler air around here by the weekend:
Make it a great Monday and take care.
