Good Monday, folks. Here’s hoping this blog update finds each of you enjoying life to the fullest. We’re coming off a very nice weekend across our part of the world, but things are about to take a turn toward the stormy side of things.
In the near-term, only a scattered shower or storm is likely out there Monday. Highs will range from the upper 80s to near 90, with an increase in humidity.
Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will take aim at the region over the next few days. The first round comes Tuesday, as a cold front moves in from the northwest. That front slams on the brakes and allows additional rounds of storms to develop along it:
Ground zero for the worst of the storms should be the Ohio Valley:
Depending on exactly where this corridor sets up, severe weather will be possible across Central and Eastern Kentucky. The best chance would be Wednesday and Thursday.
That’s something to keep a close eye on in the coming days, and that’s exactly what I will be doing.
Have a magnificent Monday and take care.
