Good Friday, everyone. Our run of stormy days is coming to an end, and much hotter weather is on the way for the weekend. Highs could make a run toward 95 degrees.
Friday, though, will be a much better day. Highs will generally run in the middle 80s in much of the region. There is a small chance of a shower or thunderstorm across the southeast.
The heat quickly works in from southwest to northeast this weekend. Highs hit the 90s with an increase in humidity. Heat index values will hit 100+ by Sunday:
A heat index of 110 is possible across the southwestern parts of the state. Ouch.
