Good Monday, gang. June is quickly running out of days as we get ready to flip the calendar later this week, and the pattern is looking a little stormy. We have some storms rumbling across parts of the region as we start the brand-new week.
These storms are rather scattered but can pack a punch. Some of the boomers might be strong and put down some very heavy rain. That’s especially the case across Eastern Kentucky into flood-weary West Virginia. Local high-water problems will be possible in these areas.
Much cooler air works in here by the middle of the week as our skies dry up. We should see some very pleasant weather for a few days.
That could change by the Fourth of July weekend. Another stormy pattern tries to develop across our part of the world. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms could move through the region during this time. Here’s the setup we will have to watch out for:
