Good Tuesday, everyone. If you’re sick and tired of the heat and humidity, I have the forecast you’ve been waiting on. Much cooler air and lower humidity are blowing in Tuesday and will hang around for a while.
Highs Tuesday will spike into the 80- to 85-degree range, but they will drop from north to south in the afternoon. That’s when a cold front drops in from the northwest. This might put down an isolated shower or thunderstorm, but the overall threat appears pretty low.
The big news will be the comfortable air coming in behind it. Lows by Wednesday morning might be in the low and middle 50s for most areas. Afternoon readings are likely to stay in the upper 70s. The Hi-Res NAM is even cooler than that:
Thursday is another winner of a weather day with plenty of sunshine. Temps will be in the 50s to start and near 80 to end. It doesn’t get a whole lot better than this!
Humidity begins to increase by Friday as we turn our attention to the Fourth of July weekend. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms will develop and roll from west to east. I’m still watching the same setup I outlined yesterday:
Heavy rain and strong storms will be possible.
Make it a great day and take care.
