Good Saturday to one and all. The Fourth of July weekend is starting out on a very nice note across Central and Eastern Kentucky. The pleasant weather isn’t a sign of what’s to come, though. Rounds of thunderstorms will soon take aim at the region.
Highs Saturday will range from the upper 70s to low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. Humidity will be low, and that means a comfy day. There is the slightest chance of a shower or thunderstorm, but most areas stay dry.
Rounds of showers and storms will increase late Sunday into the Fourth. Some of these storms might be strong and could put down enough rain to create some local high-water problems. The heaviest rains might fall across the northern half of the state.
Some storms will probably stick around Tuesday and Wednesday as hot air builds just to our west:
That heat surges in for the end of the week. That’s when highs might hit the low and middle 90s:
Have a great day and take care.
