Good Saturday to one and all. Flooding rains caused more problems across central Kentucky on Friday. The setup that caused this action will be with us through the upcoming weekend and into early next week.
Today’s storms will be scattered, but potent. Lots of lightning and heavy rains will accompany the boomers. Since the ground is so saturated, any heavy rains can cause flash flood issues to develop.
We will need to be on guard for the possibility of a bigger complex of storms moving in at some point. Some of the short-range models suggest this potential:
Rounds of storms will then dive in from the northwest early next week. A few of those could be strong and put down additional heavy rains.
