More storms on the move

Good Saturday to one and all. It’s another day of showers and storms drenching parts of central and eastern Kentucky. Additional rounds of boomers will put down heavy rains that can cause more flash flooding.

The greatest risk for local high water will be along and south of Interstate 64. Here are your tracking toys for the day:

The weather for Sunday looks a lot better with lower humidity and temps to go along with some sunshine.

The threat for a thunderstorm creeps back in for Monday, but really ramps up Tuesday and Wednesday…


This happens as deep tropical moisture from the Gulf surges northward…


While all this is going on, some of the models suggest some kind of tropical system develops along the Gulf coast. The European shows this hanging around down there for several days before slowly lifting northward and being absorbed into a trough across our region…
