Good Tuesday, everyone. Rounds of showers and thunderstorms continue to rumble across Central and Eastern Kentucky. These storms can put down a lot of water in a short amount of time over the next few days.
Tuesday’s storms will continue to come at us from the south and southwest. A few of them can be strong, but the heavy rain threat is the one to watch. These boomers can put down a quick inch or two in an hour or so.
Wednesday will feature more of the same, with locally heavy rain the main player.
Scattered storms will be around Thursday and Friday, with highs in the 80s.
Storms will rapidly increase this weekend as a strong cold front moves in from the northwest:
Some of those storms will be strong, with heavy rain a possibility. Much cooler air comes in behind this for late Sunday and Monday:
Highs early next week may not get out of the upper 70s for a few days.
