A touch of September starts the week

Good Monday, everyone. Welcome to a much better brand of air across Central and Eastern Kentucky. In what has been a very muggy and wet summer, this air is most welcome.

Readings in the morning will be in the mid- and upper 50s to start as some fog settles in. Afternoon highs should be in the upper 70s to near 80, with low humidity and plenty of sunshine.

This is normally the point at which I would inset your daily dose of radars, so I have no idea what else to say. 🙂

Tuesday should be equally as nice, with a mix of sun and clouds.

There’s a chance of isolated showers and storms Wednesday as warmer air moves back in. The chance of storms increases a bit by Thursday as a cold front moves in:

That front might slow down on top of the region and keep some scattered storms going into the weekend:

The tropics will come to life next weekend and the following week. That’s when we might have a big tropical system approaching Florida. The models vary greatly on what happens after that, but there’s always a chance that it could affect our weather.

Have a great Monday and take care.
