Good Thursday to one and all. We have another nice-looking day taking shape across the region, but everyone is looking ahead to the weekend weather. It’s the time of year for fall festivals and football, so the weekend forecast takes on added importance this time of year.
As of now, things are looking to turn a little stormy in the coming days. That’s as a cold front edges closer to the region from the northwest. This front will throw a scattered storm or two in here late Friday, with summer temps rolling on.
The threat of showers and storms will really increase Saturday and Sunday:
This won’t be a total washout of a weekend, but having a plan B might be a good idea on some of those outdoor events.
Another system brushes the region Monday, with a chance of additional showers and storms:
Temps by the middle and end of next week should bounce back into summertime readings.
It is interesting to note how the longer-range seasonal model of the CFS shows the potential for some winter weather across the country in October:
Have a terrific Thursday and take care.
