Good Friday, folks. It’s a big day in the Bluegrass as the fall meet at Keeneland gets underway. To be honest, the weather into the weekend looks about as good as you will ever get at the track.
Here’s how things are looking out there Firday:
There is a small chance of a shower this afternoon across the east, but most of the region stays dry.
Temperatures will take a big tumble behind a cold front arriving late Friday night and Saturday morning. Winds will be gusty, and we could see isolated showers early in the day. By the afternoon, skies become partly to mostly sunny, with highs in the 60s.
This bodes well for Wildcats fans heading to Commonwealth Stadium. Take a jacket or sweatshirt, because temps drop into the 50s during the second half.
Lows will be near 40 by Sunday morning:
Monday looks like another very nice day, with temps near 40 to start and highs from 65 to 70 with mostly sunny skies.
Much of next week looks dry until a late week system dives in from the northwest.
Hurricane Matthew continues to work along the east coast of Florida on Friday. This might cause destruction all the way into the Carolinas over the next few days.
