Good Sunday to and all. We are in the middle of another gorgeous stretch of fall weather across central and eastern Kentucky. Seasonally chilly temps will combine with plenty of sunshine to give us some amazing weather.
Temps today will start close to 40 degrees before warming into the 60s. If you’re a leaf peeper, today is a good day to go see some of the early fall colors. If you miss out, we still have some nice days ahead of the fall foliage peak expected around October 24th.
Monday will be another day similar to this one. Upper 30s and low 40s in the morning, with 60s for afternoon highs.
Tuesday and Wednesday turn windy with temps back into the 70-75 degree range. This will be ahead of a cold front dropping in from the northwest Wednesday night and Thursday. A gusty band of showers and storms will be possible along the boundary:
A gusty band of showers and some thunder will work through here. Highs on Thursday may not stray too far from the upper 50s and low 60s:
If the winds can diminish, areas of frost will be possible Friday morning. Highs on Friday should be in the mid and upper 60s with milder air to follow by the weekend. Temps should rebound into the 70s for Saturday and Sunday, but some showers and storms may crash the party.
Have a great Sunday and take care.
