Good Sunday, everyone. Near record high temps will be noted again today across much of our region. This warm pattern takes a small hit tonight into Halloween as a weak cold front slides in. Don’t worry too much, we could smash a few records for the first two days of November.
Highs today will be back into the upper 70s to near 80, though cooler across the north. That’s because a weak cold front will be slipping in here from that direction. This boundary may touch off a scattered shower or thunderstorm later this evening:
This will knock the temps down for highs on Halloween. Check out the big temp gradient from north to south:
Though cooler than my earlier forecasts, things still look great for Trick or Treating:
Highs for Tuesday and Wednesday will take off and could reach the low 80s. That would set some record highs for the first two days of November.
After that, here comes a cold front with some gusty showers and isolated storms Thursday:
That should knock temps back into the near normal range for the end of the week. The weekend looks nice, but big changes show up the following week:
That’s a system that could impact our Election Day. The setup for that week is one that grows colder, and has an outside chance of taking on a wintry look. There’s a better chance for that the following week.
Make it a great day and take care.
