Good Monday to one and all. We are coming off one heck of a weekend of weather across the Bluegrass State. We had severe thunderstorms and highs close to 70, followed by a 40 degree temperature drop with some snow and ice. That pretty much sums up Kentucky weather. 🙂
Cold weather continues out there Monday, with morning temps all over the place. Areas with clear skies can drop into the upper single digits and low teens. For those who keep the clouds, we stay closer to 20. Afternoon highs should range from the upper 20s to near 30.
Temps moderate as we head into the middle of the week, but a weak system blows into town Thursday with the potential for some flurries or a snow shower:
A much bigger system will affect our Christmas weekend. The exact impact remains to be seen, as we have to find out how strong the storm is and where it goes.
The GFS parallel shows it right on top of u,s with a temp spike and rain followed by a temp crash and snow:
The regular GFS is much farther west with that storm and is warm, with rain and maybe a backside snowflake:
Make it a great Monday and take care.
