Light accumulating snow for Sunday

Good Saturday to one and all. It’s another windy and cold day out there, but my focus is on a snow maker rolling in here for Sunday and early Monday. This will likely be enough to cause some slick travel conditions to develop.

Highs today will range from the upper 30s to low 40s with a mix of sun and clouds. Gusty winds will continue to crank and some passing flurries or snow showers are possible.

The Sunday-Monday system continues to look like a general 1″-3″ snowfall for much of the region. Here’s the European Model…

The GFS snowfall numbers by Monday:

We will need to watch for some bands of locally higher amounts showing up with that system. The dynamics are pretty decent for this system.

Another front zips across the region on Tuesday and Wednesday with gusty winds and some light snow:

The models then develop another system by Friday.

That system then paves the way for a potential bigger system for our region. Here’s the GFS:

Looks… interesting!

Have a sensational Saturday and take care.
