Good Tuesday, everyone. Gusty winds are ushering in some much milder temps out there. This won’t have a very long lifespan, so take full advantage of it. While you are busy enjoying it, I’m watching Super Bowl weekend for a potential troublemaker.
Highs Tuesday will range from the low 40s in the north to the middle 50s across the south. A mix of sun and clouds will be noted, with winds remaining on the gusty side.
Wednesday is another day of a big temperature gradient from north to south as a cold front splits the state. The north might be close to 40 with a touch of rain and snow, while the far south hits the upper 50s.
The colder air wins the fight Thursday and Friday as some snow showers and flurries try to develop.
From there, we watch a weekend storm system come together to produce a potential mess across our region. Rain, snow and some freezing rain are all possible depending on the storm track. The GFS is taking on a colder look for Sunday:
The European model is similar:
Here’s the winter weather accumulation from that run of the European:
We will continue to watch the trends with that system.
Have a terrific Tuesday and take care.
