Good Friday to one and all. We have a quick-hitting taste of winter rolling across the state early in the day. In typical fashion for the winter we are wrapping up, much milder air is moving back in for the weekend.
Let’s start with today and roll ahead.
The day starts with a small band of light snow and flurries zipping across the state. A coating is possible for some areas, but sunshine returns in the afternoon. Highs will generally be in the upper 30s.
Milder winds will start to blow on Saturday as the 50s return from the southwest:
You can see the 60s lurking to our west, and those numbers are waiting to move in for Sunday and Monday. Southwesterly winds pushing the mild air could also touch off isolated showers during this time.
Another strong cold front moves in Tuesday, with the potential for a line of showers and thunderstorms ahead of it:
