Good Sunday to one and all. A few rounds of thunderstorms are pushing across Central and Eastern Kentucky to wrap up the weekend. This action is all part of a stormy and warm setup taking shape for the week ahead of us.
Sunday’s storms will contain heavy rain, frequent lightning and some gusty winds. A few could even be on the strong side. Highs will make a run at 70 degrees or higher outside of the storms, where we will see a mix of sun and clouds.
I have you set to track the Sunday action:
The week ahead looks awfully similar to what we have out there Sunday, with the threat of thunderstorms and mild temps.
Highs on Monday will hit 70 to 75, with more thunderstorms rumbling in late in the day. Some of these storms could be strong, with hail and high winds. That would carry us into Tuesday.
There could be a very warm break developing by Wednesday, with the focus shifting toward a potent upper-level system ejecting from the southwest:
That setup could bring rounds of strong storms from the Plains into our region late in the week and next weekend.
Have a sensational Sunday and take care.
