Good Friday, folks. We have a very ugly day going across Central and Eastern Kentucky. Low clouds and gusty showers will slowly give way to an improving sky for the weekend. That’s the good news. The bad news? We go ugly again next week.
Friday’s gusty showers will keep highs only in the upper 50s to near 60 in most areas:
Saturday starts with some drizzle and low clouds, but ends with skies becoming partly sunny. Highs should reach the upper 50s to low 60s.
Sunday looks even better, with a mix of sun and clouds, and highs in the low 70s.
Don’t get too spoiled by a nice Sunday, because showers and storms will then ramp up for the entire state as we roll into Monday:
That’s a pretty good rainfall-maker around here.
The system coming in after that will likely unleash a very chilly brand of air for the second half of next week. The GFS is ugly:
Both models give us the chance … the chance … of seeing a wet snowflake. 🙁
This is a very cold early-April air mass diving into the region:
Have a great day and take care.
