A few storms crash Easter Sunday

Happy Easter, everyone. It’s a big day for outdoor events, but mother nature may throw a rotten egg into some of those Easter egg hunts. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will rumble across the region today, kicking off a stormy looking setup for the week ahead of us.

Highs today will be warm with 70s for everyone. Scattered showers and storms will go up, with the greatest threat this afternoon and evening. It’s possible for a strong to severe storm to develop during this time.

Storms continue tonight into early Monday, before slowly focusing across southern Kentucky later in the day.

This action is along a stalled front that looks to be the catalyst for additional showers and thunderstorms for the week ahead. These boomers should come at us in waves and could dump heavy amounts of rain.
