Good Monday to one and all. We have rounds of showers and thunderstorms taking aim at our region over the next week and change. It’s certainly not going to storm all the time, but each day will feature the threat of some boomers.
Let’s start with Monday. Highs will reach the 70s, with scattered showers and thunderstorms on the move. The most likely chance comes in the morning across the northern half of the state, with some of that stuff lingering into the afternoon in the south:
Some more scattered storms will be around Tuesday, with highs in the 70s.
Wednesday and Thursday could fire up a few more storms as temps really begin to take off. Highs should reach the upper 70s to low 80s on both days.
This will be ahead of a storm system rolling out of the Southwest. This might very well cut off from the main flow, allowing for this thing to slow down right on top of us:
The result would be heavy rain and thunderstorms giving way to windy, wet and much cooler weather.
Check out the high temps coming from the models:
We typically get one or two of those ugly-looking systems each spring, so something like that really isn’t a big surprise.
Make it a magnificent Monday and take care.
