Good Wednesday to one and all. We continue to see a scattering of showers and storms across the region. This is coming with higher temps for the next few days, but big changes are looming for the weekend. A lot of rain and lower temps will be possible around here.
Highs Wednesday are in the 70s with a mix of sun and clouds, and a scattered shower or storm. The greatest threat is across the south and southeast part of the state:

Highs on Thursday could reach 80 to 85 across much of the region, with mainly dry weather. A broken line of strong storms will then work in from the northwest Thursday night. That action is ahead of a cold front slowing down on top of us. This allows for a slow-moving low-pressure system to move in from the southwest:
That setup could bring heavy rain across the state through Sunday. The models show the heaviest falling across the southern half of the state:
We will need to keep a close eye on that setup.
