Good Saturday, folks. We have rounds of heavy rain rolling across the state as temps come way down. This ugly weather carries us into Sunday, but a surge of summer temps will be on the way for next week.
Highs Saturday range from near 50 in the north to the 60s along the Tennessee line. The heavy rain might cause a few local high-water problems across the south and southeast through Saturday night.

Wraparound showers will be with us Sunday, with the greatest concentration across the south and east. Temps will continue to be lower than normal in these areas, but some recovery is likely in the west and north.
Monday will see clouds clearing the state, with highs returning to the upper 60s and low 70s. Highs near 80 will be noted Tuesday and Wednesday, ahead of a cold front. Some strong storms will be possible with this front by late Wednesday:
Temps won’t come down behind that. If anything, they should increase. Check out the forecast highs for Friday:
Some big storms could follow that heat into next weekend.
Have a great Saturday and take care.
