Summer temps move in

Good Saturday to one and all. Our weather has been pretty ugly of late, but some of the good stuff is rolling in for the weekend. This good stuff might turn into a toasty pattern as we roll into the week ahead.

Saturday’s temps will make a run at the low 70s in most areas, with plenty of sunshine taking over.

Temps for Mother’s Day will be even higher, with highs near the 80-degree mark. Skies will stay mostly sunny for all the moms out there.

Temps into the first half of next week will really take off. Highs will range from the middle to upper 80s, with mostly dry weather continuing.

Once we get beyond that, things will change just a bit. Scattered showers and storms will increase from Thursday into next weekend:

Tthe overall weather pattern stays very warm, but it’s also likely to turn stormy in the following week. The GFS ensembles rainfall map shows the big increase from the Plains into the Ohio Valley:
