Good Friday to one and all. Our muggy and very warm pattern rolls on, with showers and thunderstorms jumping into the mix. This action will increase this weekend and could bring some hefty rain totals.
Let’s begin with Friday. Highs will top out in the middle 80s, with scattered storms. Any of these storms can be on the strong side with small hail and torrential rains.
I have you set to do some Friday storm tracking:
Hamburg Area from WKYT Studio
Saturday looks rather similar to what we have out there Friday, with scattered storms and muggy temps. Once again, any storm could be strong, with heavy rainfall.
Sunday will see tropical moisture arriving from the south. This will collide with a cold front moving in from the west. This could give us widespread showers and storms, putting down heavy rain:
Some of the forecast models are spitting out some pretty hefty rain totals through Sunday night:
Keep in mind, individual thunderstorms could drop a few inches of rain in no time flat!
The rain moves away for a much cooler Monday, with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. The dry weather won’t last for long as another round of strong storms zips in late Tuesday and early Wednesday. That’s being pushed by a very ugly-looking system upstairs:
We may see a day or two with highs in the 60s because of that. Ouch.
Make it a great day and take care.
