Good Monday, everyone. We have rounds of showers and storms rolling across the region, with much cooler weather set to follow for the rest of the week. This air will make it feel more like September than the start of summer.
Highs Monday range from the upper 70s to near 80, with showers and storms on the move. The early-day storms might spit out enough rain to create local high-water problems. I have you set to track Monday’s action:
A big upper-level low spins in for the next few days, bringing the threat of isolated showers through Thursday. This upper low also will unleash the much colder-than-normal setup. Watch the below-normal air engulf the eastern part of the country:
Highs by Wednesday might not even get to 70 degrees in some areas. Highs on the weekend will stay cooler than normal, and I can’t rule out another round of showers and storms.
Warmer air is waiting in the wings for next week.
Have a magnificent Monday and take care.
