From September temps to a summer surge

Good Thursday, everyone. We continue to be in a much cooler than normal weather pattern, but that’s about to change. A big surge of summer temps is on the way this weekend into next week.

Highs Thursday are again in the upper 60s to low 70s, with some isolated showers in the afternoon:

Friday looks much better, with more in the way of sunshine and temps hitting the upper 70s to near 80. Highs for Saturday reach the middle 80s, with mostly sunny skies.

A typical brand of summer heat is on the way from Sunday through Tuesday as a big ridge of high pressure develops in the Southeast:

Highs will generally range from 85 to 90 during this time, with an increase in humidity. That increase in juice might spawn an increase in showers and thunderstorms as we get a dip in the jet stream:

Temperatures will come down during this time.

It appears we will go back into a rather stormy pattern for the middle and end of June.

Make it a great day and take care.
